Foresta means forest in Italian, and the name refers to the fact that the range’s main material is oak. Oak is a beautiful and very resilient wood type that will last for many years if cared for properly. Regular maintenance with cooking oil prolongs the life of the product. Over time, the wood will change and become even more beautiful.
The cutting boards in the range were designed by Hans Sandgren Jakobsen, who is a trained cabinetmaker and industrial designer from the Danish Design School in Copenhagen. He worked for a year at a design studio in Japan, after which he returned to Denmark and found work at Nanna Ditzel’s design studio.
